Marlene's Magic
with Food Storage
Raised in lean times, Marlene did whatever she could to make due with the food available to her family.  She learned to cook from only the basic ingredients and was creative enough to make it taste good.  She used the knowledge learned to become a professional caterer.

In her married and professional life she, along with her husband, Klyde, raised 12 children together and again had to get very creative to feed so many mouths on a tight budget. Once again her creativity not only helped feed a dozen children, but made it nutritional and great tasting.

In the early 1990’s, Marlene developed a system that would help others do the same and allow to store food for less fortunate times.  It would help create a food storage program to sustain nutritional needs during a time of need. It would also help families learn to eat nutritionally on a regular basis and on a less expensive budget.

Marlene was encouraged to put her ideas into a book and the rest is history.  She toured much of the Western United States and Canada to demonstrate her ideas. By word of mouth, her book has sold over 50,000 copies and her goal of helping as many people as possible is coming into reality.

In March of 1996, Marlene Petersen passed away, but left a legacy of her willingness to help and serve others through preparedness.  Survived by 12 children and husband Klyde, the legacy continues.  As of the summer of 2008, the book continues to inspire people to prepare for the future as well as eating  healthy now.
